7th ANNUAL EVENT - May 28, 2014 (NYC) World renowned Chef Daniel Boulud and Danny Meyers, founder and CEO of the famous Union Square Hospitality Group and author of, "Setting the Table," kicked off the VIP reception with an evening toast to Honorary Event Chairperson, Mark Maynard-Parisi.
1st Annual VIP Culinary Event – November 18, 2013 (ICE, NYC) The STREETS International Board of Directors hosted one of New York City's first-ever "hands-on" Vietnamese cooking and dinner parties -- a type of event recently noted in the NY Times when Mayor Bloomberg had a similar gala evening at the Institute of Culinary Education for his management team.
6th ANNUAL EVENT - May 1, 2013 (NYC) For the first time, Trainees traveled all the way from Vietnam to be at the event to prepare and serve specialty dishes from the STREETS Restaurant Café in Hoi An. For Linh and Thuy, class three graduates, it was an exciting adventure to visit and meet the many supporters and guests at the event.
5th ANNUAL EVENT - March 29, 2012 (NYC) The STREETS Annual Benefit is a key component to securing the funding and support necessary for the development of the STREETS program. STREETS is providing a real chance for terribly disadvantaged young adults to transition from poverty and life on the streets to successful careers in hospitality. Disadvantaged youth participate in an 18-month training program designed to give them the tools and skills to achieve a life of dignity and financial independence.
